Job Description: |
Manages
the repository of historical and legal documents, records
and artifacts of the Omaha Regional Community. Responsibility
includes the collection, documentation, preservation and
retrieval of documents and records of enduring value. Research
and respond to requests for information from historical and
current documents and records, and also assist researchers and
genealogists conducting research relevant to the Sisters of
Mercy, while preserving the confidentiality and integrity of
these valuable resources. The archivist deals with a diverse
group of important external individuals as well as internal
contacts at all levels of the organization including but not
limited to the Regional Leadership Team, Sisters and Associates,
Regional Office Staff, Sponsored/Formerly Sponsored Institutions
and ministries of the region, and the public. Independent
judgment is required in order to plan, prioritize and organize
diversified workload. A high school diploma or GED required,
bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum three (3) years of related
experience. |
